So the local pet place got in a Western box turtle with severe bacterial pnumonia. Got some oxytet injectible, cut it back with saline and started injecting, plus used some antibiotic drops for the swollen eyes. After the first injection and some sun, he is coming out more. Anyone have suggestions for what may entice him to eat?

while regularly we feed our Box turtle lettuce and the like, I've seen she goes aboslutely NUTS for nightcrawlers/earthworms, and basically anything bright red. Especially stawberries. Offer him some of those maybe :)

I had an ill Blandings turtle show up here once, stayed a month or so recuperating. It loved strawberries too.

Now that I can get him out of his shell, it has become obvious the wholesaler is selling three-toed box turtles labeled as western box turtles. Why do that?
