Should my Asian forest scorpion be eating this often?

This is my first scorpion and I'm new to this site, so apologies if this is asked a lot.

Is it normal for my scorpion to be eating everyday? I put a superworm or pre-killed, store bought cricket into their bowl every night, and it's always gone in the morning. I was under the impression they'd only eat once or twice a week.

Their water bowl is always full and the tank is usually around 70-80% humidity, so I don't think they're just trying to get hydrated.

Thanks in advance! : )

I included this picture from the day I got them as pet tax. They do not live in that tiny plastic container anymore, so don't worry. IMG_20240804_191550283.jpg

First, your mind set needs to be completely different from mammals when it comes to arachnids.

They do not need to be fed everyday and they can go without eating for days and weeks and months.

Or in the case of AFS, 3 or 4 months. From February until the rainy season around June they shut down, literally. Bring their metabolism to a near dead halt, parked deep in the depths of the detritus or dirt beneath. Simply natural survival of the species. Their native habitat is wall to wall predatory birds, day and night. Venturing out to find a meal is running a gauntlet. Thus they evolved that world class control of their metabolism. Eat when the rains bring out the bugs and they can minimize their exposure to certain death.

That is way too often. I feed mine once a month or so depending on their size and the size of the prey. I don't have a schedule.

Yeah well they are opportunistic predators, and you’ve been giving it far more opportunity than it actually needs. You can stop feeding on a routine like this. You can feed every few weeks now.

Thanks for the help, everyone! I'll feed them way less often now. I'm learning a lot of things at the same time, and surprisingly, that was my only problem. But thanks again!
