Should I orde it or get it from the show

I am debating to get my Versi from the NC show next month or just order it from a Dealer. I know I would save on shipping but I am also ordering other T's as well. Which do you think would be better.

I would hold off the order untill you go to the show because once you get there you are liable to spend all of the money you have. and plus you get to see what your getting and you don't have to worry about it being DOA.

Just do the math and base your decision on the cold, hard facts. Do you prefer inspecting the specimen beforehand, or not? DO you plan to order other animals as well along with it, or not? Does it bother you that you may not know the history behind dealers or specimens at the show? There about a hundred variables to making this decision, all of which must be decided by you.

Quite frankly, I don't see the merit in asking for people's input on this one.

personally I like seeing what I'm getting when I acquire T's. I have only gotten one T in the mail and when I received it it had a regenerated leg. It has grown to look more "normal" since then but I probably wouldn't have selected that one if I had a choice. That's just me.

In theory, I'd prefer to be able to go to a show and pick them up. This would require two things to work, though. First, I'd actually need a show near me with good invert representation - just not happening in SW Virginia as far as I can tell. Second, you'd need dealers with a wide selection between them *at* the show. And, even assuming those two things, cost would still figure in.

For instance, you mention wanting a versi. A certain dealer has 1/2" versi slings for $20@ during July and shipping is only $20. You could have 3 versi slings shipped to your door for $80 resulting in an almost guranteed female with chances for up to 2 more. You then start adding in other Ts and the shipping gets cheaper per T by the minute

At any rate, until I get a T-Mart nearby, I'll probably rely on online dealers for mine. Examining them is largely pointless with a reputable dealer. These aren't puppies where personality and 'clicking' is an issue.

Here in England, there's generally the rule of 'no sexing the spiders at the stall' so you can't clutter the stalls inspecting every spider to pick out that female.

If the site says it's DEFINATELY a female (assuming it's female you seek) then go with this. Don't know if this 'rule' applis at your shows or not though.

On the topic, do any of you Brits know of any shows her ein the near future?

Ty all! I have decided to do both cause i thought 2 Versi would be cool esp. if i got a male and a female . Well I can't wait the Show is a little over a month away. Just riding for about 4 hrs(one way) will be the boring part lol.
