Hi I was wondering if there is a legal way to ship roaches and what are the consequences of shipping roaches through USPS. Also if there is a thread about this let me know because i searched but couldnt find any.

It depends on the state you live in. Different states have different laws. You should check on the laws for the state you live in.

Florida definitely has restrictions. I think Tennessee too I could be wrong. Hawaii probably does. Like AzJohn said you're just going to have to check with your states laws.

Piece of cake where I live..The post office lady knows me as "the Tarantula guy" ,and pretty much ships anything I put in front of her.Last week I had a box of a certain kind of roach sending them to my daughter in Cali.so she can start her own colony. She looks at the box and says What kind of weird bugs this time.I told her roaches, and she just shook her head :eek:and slapped on the label.Pays huge dividends to be on good terms with your local Gov't employees. They can make your life easy or miserable...your choice:sarcasm:

The USPS has restrictions against shipping venomous animals. I know many suppliers who ship T's and scorp's through the USPS, even while disclosing to their mail carrier what is in the package. It depends on your USPS mail carrier.
As far as shipping to Florida and Tennessee, it is against the law, but it won't be the postal service that comes after you for sending roaches, so they probably won't stop you from sending them to those states, although I would never send roaches to those states.
