Both my hubby and I knew this was about to happen. Suzie has not eaten since we got her about 5 months ago. About 2 months ago, her back started going bald, so I knew it was only a matter of time.

We were out to lunch today with some friends from church, and we come home, and low and behold, she's flipped on her side! I'm so excited to see the whole process, because I have heard about it, but never seen it.

She has fresh water, and of course, we will wait about a week or so postmolt before we attempt to give her food or handle her.

I'm excited for this, and so proud :)

I'm excited with you! Enjoy the observation process; it's really remarkable in person, and very gratifying in a way (even though the T has been doing all the work :D).

Congrats on getting to watch her molt!

Though, I've heard G. rosea can take days to do so lol

her molt was successful. :) She looks so fluffy now. I'll post a picture asap if anyone cares to see how she looks now.

I would suggest waiting for a couple of weeks before doing this (assuming she is 4-6"). Allow her to fully harden before attempting to feed. The handling part is a whole debate in and of itself. To each their own on that one.

yep, I know about the whole debate.

We will probably wait longer to feed her though. Thanks for the advice about it.

She's so pretty now.

Sadly, I didn't see any of the process because I was too tired to stay up and watch. Maybe I'll have better luck next year.
