And there was our P. chordatus standing over her soupy eggs!

We are so excited, this will be our first CB sac!

Congratulations on the P. chordatus sac. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on a large healthy hatchout.

I love this species, being partial to most all african T's :)

Unfortunately she has finished laying them but is not rapping them up.
just not sure what to do. We are going to give her until tonight to get going and we will try and take them away.
Anyone successfully hatched eggs they have pulled from day 1?

imo i wouldn't mess with them. i've successfully hatched a sac from this sp., and it wasn't exactly a ball of web when she was through, more like a lopsided mass of web LOL. but she guarded it like mad, and so i didn't mess with her or her eggs, and about 30 days later i pulled the sac and about a week after that babies hatched out.

and oh yeah, pulling the eggs on day one is NEVER a good idea, though some people do. the mother has to do some very critical "rolling" and "positioning" of the sac, and if this isn't done, it poses a serious risk to the health of the sac.

Thanks all, but as mina said in the other thread, the eggs congealed into a solid mass I was able to hold upside down.

la sigh, I think the male was shooting blanks or didn't quite get a full insertion.
