And it's about time I've been thinking she would pop for a month!
Our P. Platus is finally LAYING!!!!






and after two days of heavy webbing and 8 hours of laying we have a sac!

Wow. That's the first time I see a T laying eggs and it's kinda gross xD

Thanks Rick. It's the only sac I've seen in my three years as a keeper. And I hope it is the first of many! I already have another immature male lined up for her next sac.


Neo: Birth (and death) are often messy. But you have to admit it is very cool!

JR: I can't wait till I'm that busy! Half of them go to Dave Grimm so that will help. but I'm not counting my slings at least until they have legs.

Bad news everyone, she ate the sack yesterday. We couldn't save anything. :( We are very sad and upset.
We are going to try again though, there is someone local who has an immature male.

oh wow.

that really sucks. the hobby needs a good injection of this species, too bad she ate it :(

hopefully things will go better when you mate her with the upcoming male!
