Does anyone know of any kind of list of tarantulas that are sexually dimorphic as adults? Thanks in advance

Ah. I think I might be using incorrect terminology. Or not specific enough. I was trying to ask about specific color differences in tarantulas. I.e. significant color variations in some species but not in others. So if I really want a certain color to be prominent in a tarantula that I own, is there any compiled list of both male and female showing the same color pattern throughout their lives. When I first got into the hobby and bought an O. violaceopes sling thinking it would be that brilliant expected color, I was pretty disappointed to realize that was only to be found in males lol.

Purple is only found in the females - I’ve raised males of that species- not pretty.

There’s not a list.

Quite a few species are sexually dimorphic with regard to color.

Both males and females are purple, males just less so...and when males mature they lose all that color and end up a greenish. O. schioedtei males are exactly the same

Gotcha. Thanks for the feedback. I know there are quite a few lists of things floating around i.e. dwarf species and such, so I was just hoping to luck into this kind of list.

Interesting how with genuses like Xenesthis it is the opposite (minus the losing colour). I wonder what the evolutionary drivers were in both cases.

Mature males are yellow, females are purple
