I bought two P. metallicas from Art Cerda (thank you Art), and they arrived yesterday. O.K., getting two was a tad excessive but one has been sexed as a female, the other is unknown. Unfortunately, due to a mixup, I'm not sure which is which so I took pictures of their ventral sides. They are both 2" (legspan), and very healthy looking. They're quick (big surprise), but not aggressive. They had ample opportunity to bite me during the cage transfer. The picture clarity is a little off because I shot through the plastic. Oh, and I don't care about copyright on the pics.

I won't be too upset if one is male. I'd prefer two females of course, but you can't have everything in life. I'll post more pics after one or two molts.

By the way, you just wait til those babies grow up. The ventral side gets so vivid in color, it gives me chills! Seriously!

Alright guys, then where are you looking at?
The differences I have found is the placement of the booklungs, and that little thingie between them...
So can any of you give me a clue as of where to look at?

How about a glamour shot of those two? Buying 2 of those deserves a bit of showing off.

My view:

A=Male
B=Female

I havn't read through any of the other posts, so my decision isn't biased in anyway. Hopefully my thoguths will match that of everyone else and you're onto a winner!
