I have a newly (apparently even tho shes tiny) mature female P audax and she's had a tiny little tan egg sac for about 2 months now. She still eats, somewhat regularly, she comes out some, but the past few days shes been staying with the sac and it makes me worried. I have heard from other people, their females often die when this happens, they waste away with the eggsac. Is there any options we have? Is destroying the nest a possibility (as cruel as that sounds even typing it) to keep my spider alive longer?

Who the hell told you they die like that? thats completely untrue. like, theres not a speck of truth to it at all.
Females only die of Old age, its a "by coincidence" thing. not because of eggs, staying with eggs, none of that.

so dont worry, if she stays, the only harm done is perhaps she wont eat or drink when she should be!
ive bred probably a hundred females at this point of various sp and not a single one of them die because of laying eggs. in fact, phidippus in particular can lay up to 6 egg sacs, back to back. dying is 100% a coincidence, or because their owner accidentally starved them by not providing enough food.

destroying a nest can have a severe effect on a spiders health.
never destroy it or seperate a jumper unless you absolutely have to.

Offer food with tongs by holding it up to the nest. you may want to disable it or crush its head for her when you do. mist nearby her nest so she doesnt need to travel to drink. if you mist lightly enough, you can mist directly on the nest.
