This species was labeled as Selenocosmia sp. "Java" in Praga. I have 5 slings of them, and they look like this:

I'm very eager to find out, what this slings really are...

They are also in Poland and I think (I know - popcorn situation) they are just Selenocosmia javanensis. But who knows... What was the name of a dealer from You were buying it?

Hey morda, nice to read You again! Long time not seen You Friend! Everything is OK?

A friend of mine bought them in Praga, I'll ask him, maybe he can give me the sellers name.

Yeah, thanks - everything is ok.
I have many things to do now. Mostly i'm learning ... studying biology is not an easy way to spend time :)

I had 3 Selenocosmia javanensis, they look similar. Unfortunetly 2 of them died for unknown reasons. I have only one left but I don't see her often. She/He is still very small and sits in burrow.

Interesting, we have some Selencosmia sp. Lyrasis, I think at our stores. They're also being sold as New Guinea Black femurs, or Lyra Java birdspiders; could these be it?

A good friend of mine got an S. javanensis sent to him as an H. minax, and it also died of unknown causes, it also never moved , ate , or molted.... kind of boring but at the same time interesting... weird.

I don't know this for sure but this spiders may be WC. Maybe that's why they are so weak in captivity.

W/C S.javanensis are very highly strung animals ime every one iv seen was super jumpy and a female I owned was about the nastiest spider iv ever had holding threat poses for a few hours after being upset and did not settle well or construct a burrow.

There were a lot of slings on sale from W/C sac’s soon after the time I had her but they seemed to disappeared a few years later :( i dont know if anyone had kept them going in the time iv been away but im guessing there from new imports.

Sorry to hear about Your loss mate! My slings are digging and webbing like hell, some of them made 4 (!) entrances in their burrows.

Honestly, I don't know. But we have to wait until they grow and gettin' bigger, so I can send a skin to an expert, who can examine it.

Sounds great! :D I'm eager to see this behaviour! The slings are a little bit stressed, and run relatively fast.
