Do you know of any scorps in colorado? I'll be there (colorado springs, as well as winter park, which is about an hour out of denver) soon and would like to know if it is worth packing my gear.
John, there are reported to be C.vittatus in the La Junta area in SE Colorado and P.boreus in the Grand Junction area. Winter park is in the mountains and way too cold and humid for any of the western US species. The best you can find in my(Denver) area are centipedes of S.polymorpha in the 5" range. There is rumored to be an undescribed species of Serridigitus in Jefferson county(Denver area) but I could not even guess as to where to look.
I have found C. vittatus around pueblo reservoir as well as in walsenburg. I live in colorado springs and have been looking for them here too, but no luck. They are mostly south of here and east too.
