Scorpions legality in hawaii

Almost every one I’ve asked have said that scorpions are illegal here in Hawaii to own, but when I look it up I can’t find anything stating that they are illegal or legal. So I was curious if any of you guys know something about this that I don’t.

I believe that Hawaii bans non native species.

I didn't see anything formal, I didn't spend much time on it but I read enough to see why they have banned even many pets that seem standard.

Same. I thought it would be easy to discover, but I invested a fairly good bit of time and found nothing specific.
