Scorpions in my house

I moved to my apartment 4 years ago. I do well to keep the home clean but occasionally, i get to see scorpions in my home. Sometimes dead and sometimes i will see one or two crawling around. I need answers to what could be the cause of seeing scorpions in my house because i seems not to know how they keep getting inside the house. Any suggestion. Also, i end up killing them and i need to know the best way to address this if i get to see another one. Thanks.

Just cup them in a plastic tub you can see through so you dont trap legs ect and release them outside. It doesn't matter how clean your home is inverts will still get in , please don't kill them just release them.

Thanks. Apparently i do not like killing them but i end up doing that since i do not know how they get in and how i can get them out. I will follow your advice if i get to see one anytime soon.

Turn lights on at night and give them a few minutes to go hide. Assume everything that sits on the floor may have one lurking under it. Avoid sticking hand or foot into narrow locations or cracks and a crevices. Just get used to practicing those rules. No big deal.
Oh yes, if you have arboreal scorps, climbers, check door knobs before grabbing.
