Probably imperator. They are slow growers, but 2 years is a long time. I can’t tell how big it is from the picture, but is it adult? They don’t molt anymore when they’re adult.
What’s the temperature?

Your scorpion does appear to be full grown, and will not continue to molt like a spider. Scorpions only molt a few times in their life span. It may still grow a little, though. Scorpion biology is sort of strange, and developmental markers are never hit at the same time for scorpions of the same species. Each scorpion just sort of grows in their own time.

Also, I am no expert, but the tail looks pretty fat so if I were to guess I would say Dictator.

The picture quality is not very good, but from what I can see, there’s not enough granulation to be a dictator. So that makes it an imperator. I need a better picture to tell for sure though.

That is actually one reason I said Dictator. The carapace and sternites appear as if they have been pelted with tiny rocks. They are very granulated, at least as far as I can tell. This scorpion also appears, from the pictures at least, to have the characteristic claw shape of the Dictator.

But, of course, what do I know? Maybe someone more versed with Dictators vs Emperors can weigh in.
