Hello, I recently started getting into scorpions I would really like to start breeding some animals. Scorpions seem like they would be a lot easier to breed than T's so I got to ask some pointer and basic stuff for anyone who breeds them. I recently got a Pair of Pandinus cavimanus and I was very much considering pairing these two. Although my efforts to find a guide to breeding scorpions online has really turned nothing up. So I have a few basic questions like Is there a breeding season? How do I know if a male/female are ready to be paired? Is cannibalism a concern? How long should it takes for the female to give birth? How long should I wait to separate the babies? Should I feed the scorpions before pairing them? Basically questions along those lines. If someone has a PDF or some sort of link to a written guide that would be great.

1. they are mature adults. check pectines/chela teeth/metastoma size to ensure they're adults
2. cannibalism is of not much concern, I've never had issues with a female pursuing a male. Usually he bolts and she bolts or chills there.
3. It depends on the species. Some, like Tityus stigmurus, can give birth once every 3 months, Parabuthus usually are 8-12 months, and Hadogenes, well, I'm going on 16 months and she's still filling out!
4. Wait until they are second instar. Only disturb the mother to mist the enclosure and fill her waterdish. I have many mothers (mostly Parabuthus) who wander with the kids to find water.
5. Yes, feed them both until they refuse food.
