did an experiment with these 2 and got rather dissapointing results, neither seemed interested in destroying each other. what a waste of natural weapons i say!:wall: :wall: :wall:
aaa man!! i always look at that pic like,,,what the **!!!that cant be rite!!the tarantula is about to show off some fang on the scorp.plus its like way to dry of an environment for the emp in the pic.ive had that book for about 8 years and always compelled to go to that page, just to see how rediculous it is.Nate said:Its as bad as the image on page 35 of the Tarantulas and Scorpions Their Care In Captivity book.
For those of you that don't have the book it shows a cage setup making use of backdrops. Within the tank a scorp and a T are housed togther. :?
Depends on the scorpion and the spider I'd guess. I mean if it were a little vaejovis vs. pterinochilus, I'd lay bets on the OBT, but if it was a hadrurus vs. aphonopelma I'd bet on the scorpion, if only because it could fend of the tarantulas attacks with its claws, all the while stinging the poor spider to death.Ottawaherp said:Years ago my drinking buddies wanted to put my B. smithi and my Emp. Scorp in the bathtub and takes bets on which would win.
Needless to say, I declined.
I think it had something to do with a Clint Eastwood movie where people were betting on exotics in a tank (rattler & mongoose, cobra & mongoose) can't really remember.
Still a little curious though.............in the wild who would win??

Statements like this make me think this would be a successful online business providing gambling and live battle feeds.Potemkin said:Depends on the scorpion and the spider I'd guess. Yeah, you probably would is the sad thing. I didn't really mean I'd gamble on it, more like what I would expect the outcome to be. Forgive me arachnoboards?Nate said:Statements like this make me think this would be a successful online business providing gambling and live battle feeds.
