Excuse me for my ignorance I'm quite new. I heard that there are two types Yunnan and Guangxi. Is this accurate? If so, what are the visual differences?

Yes Guanxi is the red mint (the more common mint)

Yunan is insanely hard to find. Black body and green legs with orange antennae make it one of the coolest looking pedes I've ever seen.

And yes there is a mint native to the Phillipines (orange and black bands with blue legs) which isn't in the hobby yet.

I'm so confused. I thought the Philippine one was Scolopendra Sp. "Blue Leg" and the other being Scolopendra Sp. "Yunnan Tricolor"?

Hi Tim! I lurk on instagram mostly, you have very nice Pedes! The yunnan one you mention, is that what you would trade your hardwickei for? The Philippines mint legs indeed are in the hobby, it’s very rare though. I’ve seen pics from someone in the states and one of the tarantula YouTube people from Europe had one.

Hey thanks! Yes I would consider trading my 0.1 hardwickei for a Yunan tricolor. So if any one has one let me know haha.

I mean yes technically a couple people have one or two. I have seen that one guy in the states with one but I don't really consider it in the hobby if only one guy has one hahaha. They do need to get in the hobby though!

Fair enough, I supoose I can agree. There’s a lot of cool Pedes we need in the hobby.
