Afaik these were never imported, going through all the pics of the old ones they were all galaps, same for the pics in that giant centipede book by Carl in 1998, the big one on the hand, that was a galap too.man..........i remember when these were imported back in 1995/96 not many came in,had my share of them, that was it never saw them again, i want them again, but they will be very pricey i'm sure.
Yes those should be the Ecuador locale, they’re darker than the Peruvian ones. Found on both mainland Ecuador and the Galápagos Islandsah, thanks for the info, the ones that were imported in 95/96 were black as black and massive(i had a few aswell back then) so they were galaps aswell. good to know.
They probably were in the early 90s. Galapagoensis showed up randomly in the mid 90s and were always called "Trinidad giant black". I posted the Sandefer pics on FB when I realized all of them were galapagoensis - I actually bought his last one in 2000 or so.Afaik these were never imported, going through all the pics of the old ones they were all galaps, same for the pics in that giant centipede book by Carl in 1998, the big one on the hand, that was a galap too.
