Hey everyone! I am very new to this. I just got my first set of Scarlet Millipedes and I am trying to separate them by gender. I have 5 and I know I have at least one female and one male because there are now babies. I know I need to be looking for gonads for the males but I don't even know what those look like. Can someone please help me and send me some photos of what I should be looking for? 20190503_121724.jpg 20190503_121737.jpg 20190503_121737.jpg

Thanks in advance!!!

You want to be looking at the seventh leg segment (preferably from underneath) If the legs look shorter or different from the rest you have a male.

Difficult to tell from the photos you posted

You may even be able to tell Male from female from the top of the millipede
Some times the Male will have a larger seventh segment and it may even look a little like a bump on it's back
But telling by looking at the legs is the better method

This is a male from a side view, you can see that it is missing a pair of legs on the seventh segment
A female will not be missing them
