I just found out that scarlet kingsnakes are native to my area... anyone have any tips for finding one of these, I know I should look in the pine forest, has anyone seen one of these in the wild before?

Well, I don't know the exact info on where to find Scarlet kings. You might want to try looking under logs and tin and boards. Basically, just any small, dark spot you can think of on the ground that they might be hiding. If you want to keep one, you better have some pinky mouse parts and lizard tails ready. :)

Lampropeltis triangulum I am going to assume is a high elevation snake. Most kings are as it is. The best way to find them is to get way up high into the pines if possable and flip rocks during the wet season. Please remember to put all the rocks back. Thanks

Sincerely,

Hi, I think its Lampropeltis triangulum elapsoides. I had an adult a few months ago. Pretty nasty, fed it pinkys at the adult size.
