My A. Seemanni has eating two pinkies since I got it, I haven't fed it for three days. Today I gave him/her a pinkie, and it crawled right into the hide. It's laying right in front of my T and my T keeps giving it threat postures, but isn't eating it.....maybe it's going to molt? No black or bald spot though????

Could be signs of a molt coming up.Ceasing to eat is a sign. Some of my T's will do the same with crickets when they go off food.Retreat to their hides when crickets are introduced into the enclosure and swipe at them when they get near.Usually they attack the crickets as soon as they hit the substrate.Sounds like premolt to me....peace..

The T could be full. We have various T's that respond like that when they're done eating for a while. They don't necessarily molt right away unless its a sling. Might be a while before the molt occurs.

I've had mature and subadult T's of various species go off feed for no clear reason and do this for months, then without even molting, go right back on feed like nothing happened. If there's no darkening on the abdomen it might have just had enough food for a while, and if there's no bald spot you might just not notice the darkening. I'd say 50/50 chance of molt without knowing more.

How long ago did you feed it the pinkies, and were they fed close together?

I got it three weeks ago, it's abdomen was so small I thought it might be starving. It took a pinkie the day after I got it, then again on the 5th of this month. The pet shop near me has a rose hair the same size as my T, and even now mine isn't close to the same size in the abdomen as the rosehair.

Welp, this pinkie was larger than the other two, I think that is why it didn't want it. I took the pinkie out and put a cricket in and it pounced on it......

.........

Sounds like the T is full, as already mentioned. Is that the one called "Sarge"? After a couple of pinkies that size, it probably wants to slow down on eating some, as the prey looked fairly large. And..........you know how slow their metabolism is. But I bet it worked well to put some much needed weight on it! :D

I would guess that the T is full. Mine refuse even crickets when they are full. Then again if the pinkie was larger is might have scared the T.

Yup, it's Sarge, the only one I have right now. He's taken three crickets since I removed the pinkie, as soon as they hit the substrate, so I think the pinkie was too big.
