i have noticed that some people scan thier live scorpions and was quite amazed. one girls scorpion , while being scanned ran off the scanner and fell off the desk, she started looking for it and got stung, then her response was "hmm, maybe later ill scan my others" i was stunned at this. do any of you scan live scorpions? i would just think take a photo and scan that and be on the safe side. myself personally never take scorps out of the enclosure unless cleaning.

Go digital, I remember taking out L.Q. and A. Crassicauda for Polaroid shoots, way back when.

If you want a pectine shot, a scanner can be useful. The best bet is to put a cup over the scorpion, though, so it can't run away.

Of course. It is a matter of balancing their stress levels with whatever you need to accomplish. Placing them on a scanner and scanning them is not going to be any more stressful than placing them in a clear-bottomed container and taking a digital picture.
