SC praying mantis ID?

I found this little guy while looking for V. carolinianus the other day. I've seen alot of these green praying mantids around, but I don't know there true name. I also have come across a few brown one's here in SC and I don't know what they are either.

looks like the chinese mantid they can be green or brown

i'm pretty sure it's a chinese mantis. they're pretty ubiquitous, as most invasive species tend to get. they will change color from brown to green depending on the plants where they spend the bulk of their time. I have 5 of them with different paper towel roles in them just as tank furniture. All of them match the different shades of brown of their paper towel roles.
