Yep! I got him about two years ago. He's my Asian water monitor. Here he is with my dog. He's very tame (the lizard that is) and he rarely ever uses his defense postures anymore. He's pretty good with other animals unless he's very hungry, one time he thought my toes was food and that was where the ppl outside my window saw me running around inside my house like I was on fire.

He literally chased my toes and I had to hop up on the sofa. From there onward I made sure he was relatively full. All taken with my digital camera too! I have a camcorder now so its quite a bit better. Cost me an arm and a leg but heck!

Here's him again eating shrimps!

Someone in that video left a comment and called someone a fat whore and I immediately knew it wasn't me cause I'm neither fat and I'm a guy so I think I'm obligated to whore myself out for the good of mankind :) ....

Btw, anyone wants a pet dog but want a lizard version, Asian water monitors are very good for this. They grow nice and big but they are soooo tame. I've been scratched a lot more by my cat then the lizard (who does it to get away and always on accident)

what?.....what happend?:(
Well....the dog wasn't originally mines. It came from another family, he was only a few months old though. But anyway, in the family there's a step dad and the mom and the daughter.

The mom kept telling her to clean up and take care of her dog, but the little girl was lazy so one day she was like "alright if you don't do it i'm going to give it away okay?" the daughter was like whatever, thinking that the mom was only just talking.

Well they gave him to us and man, totally not house trained and whats worse???? What names do most typical Asians give their dogs? LUCKY!!! GRRRRRRRR I HATE THAT NAME!!!

Anyway.... I kept him for awhile and i felt really sad for the little girl cause she was crying asking for her dog back so finally I gave him back, also realizing I couldn't handle all the clean up. I loved him though but....I put myself in the little girl's shoe (tight fit) and I felt really bad.

Well I gave them back the dog but while they were walking it, it somehow escaped. BLAH BLAH BLAH 2 hours later....road kill... :wall:

And whats freaky???? A month later, one showed up at my front door and it looked EXACTLY like the same dog! I tried petting him but he left...never to be seen again.

True story. :(

I love monitors, I'm thinking of selling my dragon in favour of one, my first reptile was a monitor. I have an absolute passion for the monitor... I love those things. I'll probably get something dull like a savannah. They are very cute ^^
