Woke up today to find out that pharaoh ants invaded my bug shelf
They invaded my desert beetles and my hadrurus tanks and completely invaded my ghost mantises enclosure, killed 1 and have the other one on its last legs. I picked all the ants off and hung out with her for a bit. She’s still clinging to my finger very tightly but is obviously beaten up and envenomated. I changed her to a smaller container and will try to feed her some honey before going to work. Thankfully no other casualties but I’m not used to dealing with this and I’m just at a loss for words rn. I’m currently putting the legs of the shelf in cups of water and setting out bait traps for the ants.
I assume there’s not much I can do for her except see if she pulls through? This is my first time dealing with this. In any case it helps to be able to vent at least
