As we all know, most local lps are really not too keen on taking care of their T's... So today i ran out of cric's... to cut the long story short.... i went to the lps... they have been having trouble in hiring a good reptile/invert's manager since b4 the holidays..... so since then, there is no one to take care of T's... since the previous manager left, (the only one who knows anything about T's in that store....) i've been keeping my eye's on this A avic for about three months... :embarrassed:all this time ive watch them mistreat and neglect the poor bugger:embarrassed:.... at first it was water crystals:eek:... second no cork bark or anything to climb on:eek::eek:.... third they never fed the poor thing.:eek::eek:.. when i saw her today ther was no food, no water, it was tucked in the corner with no webbing what so ever in the enclosure,:eek: :mad:So i decide enough is enough:mad:!!!

I gotta save this T before it dies:3:.. .. i would feel guilty knowing, and did nothing about it... so i ended up taking her home:D... i got her for 20:D...

well here she is... too skinny if you ask me:8o....

n name yet....

Since you bought it, they will order a replacement. Are you going to save that one too when it's kept the same way?

My LPS, Animal Jungle, had quite a few Ts the last time I was there.. A. Purpurea, A. Versicolor, H. Mac, a B. Emilia, and a B. Smithi, P. Lugardi, P. ornata (which was labeled as Sunweb Spider) and a Trapdoor spider (Only one out of all of them labeled 'HOT'). Guess which ones were alive... The A. Purpurea and the P. Lugardi.. The B. Smithi was moving around a bit.. but he seemed pretty bad off... My roomate and I ended up grabbing the H. Mac (which ended up being a P. Lugardi) and the Avic Purpurea. The LPS ended up dumping the dead ones into the trash after shaking their cages and poking them to ensure they were dead. There were absolutely no water dishes inside and there were piles of dead crickets everywhere. It was pretty rank.

Perhaps it could be a posibility... But i met the new manager... fotunately he's arachnophobic... so he said the only way he's bringing T's back into the store is when someone pre order's... plus they focus on fish more than reptiles and inverts.... it's not often i see or find T's at that place... i just buy fish or crickets from them.... funny thing was... i was the one that handled the T for him, for this transaction lol... i lucked out on that end... but she'was the last T there...

If you have already donated some money to Haiti... and still got a few extra's to spare.... Then definitely i would .... if it aint gonna hurt your pocket why not.... thats the way i see it... trust me it comes back to you ten folds.... helping ppl, animals, T's.... all in all it's a good deed.... it never goes unnoticed.... bottom line if i can help why not, im not greedy or selfish.... if you do or not.... it's really up to you and what you feel... I am true believer in KARMA!!!!... what goes arround comes arround.... IMO

Cheers

Talk to the manager.... im pretty sure they'll give you a discount once you tell them how you feel about the way they are neglecting their Inventory... My A avic was priced at 30.. after i told the manager my piece of mind on how i felt and that i wanted to give him a new home.... i got it for 20 flat....

I rescued 3 pedes from a petsmart that they housed together!I don't think that petsmart should sell inverts of any type.A lot of pet stores buy these avics because they're colorful and give the pet store a exotic look.they don't do any research, they just buy.
