Hello everyone im thinking of getting a baby sandfire beardie i'm really wanting to gain some knowledge about these lizards i got a book but i think it would be more useful talking to keepers. Ive got a few questions about them.

1.Can they be kept at the same temp requirements as inland beardies and humidty?
2.What kind of veggies should i feed mine?
3.What is your feeding schedule for sandfire beardie babys?
4.What kind of substrate should i use for babys/adults
Other information would be awesome thank you!

Alright well, first of all sandfire beardies and snow beardies and all other type of captive bred beardies are pretty much the same. the "sandfire" is just a word to describe its color, same species though.

1. Humidity: as low as possible, high humidiy can cause respiratory problems.
Temps: 100-105 for adults, 100-110 for babies. Remember that there should be a temperature gradient in the enclosure, that is to say that it should be around 80 in one side and 100+ in the other.

2. Veggies: tons of options here, refer to this website: http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html

3. Feeding: I offer my beardie enough salad to last through the whole day (put an ice cube on it when you place it in the enclosure to keep it moist all day). I put in the salad an hour after the lights go on. I feed live insects 1 hr and 30 mins or so after the lights are on and a few hours before the lights go off, think of it as breakfast and dinner and the salad for snacks and lunch.

4. Substrate: I recommend paper towels until you get an enclosure that will be big enough for the beardie when its an adult (the sooner you get it the better). Once you have a large enough enclosure a lot of people switch to tile because its easy to clean and the beardie has 0 chance of getting impacted.

Additional info: the forums suggested above are an excelent source of information.
Id also give this website a read: http://www.dachiu.com/beardeddragoncare/dragoncaresheet.html

Grats on your new baby and take pics!
