Hello everyone,
I recently received some blue death feigning beetles and smooth death feigning beetles and I’ve noticed that some of sand substrate I put in the tank is sticking to their waxy coating. The sand I used is Exo Tera Desert Sand, which does not contain calcium. Do you think that this would cause an issue for the beetles and if so, what substrate would you recommend I use instead? I’ve attached some pictures for reference. DEFD6732-BBFC-485B-AA08-41E0201B979C.jpeg B48B7F17-D437-4AD0-BE4E-4C3E7E057852.jpeg

Most of them have tracheae on the underside/edge of their bodies. It will have to be literally microscopic like diatomaceous earth to clog up those spots that they can't kick off themselves.
