What glues are safe to use to modify enclosures? Also if using an exo terra faunarium/ kritter keeper is there a particular type of contact paper or tape that is recommended for closing some of the vents. If there is already a thread for this please post a link. I am brand new to this hobby, I am getting everything set up before I dive in.

I use a hot glue gun. No issues what so ever and very minimal smell. And it cures almost instantly

I use black electrical tape for covering vents. Silicone 1 is another option, but it smells strong until it's done curing.

I would avoid tape. Tarantulas can get their feet stuck to it. It happened to one of mine 17 years ago. Took hours to get her unstuck.

Silicone I is safe after it cures, it's my go to for in terrarium work (always well BEFORE the inhabitants are in the tank)
