My poor little A avic Gromit died this morning. I just think his post "post" ulitmate molt, was too much. He just never recovered back to the same, and couldn't move very well. I kinda wished he would have never molted like that, he was better off before. Oh well, better than having him crippled like he was :(

Sorry to hear it hon. The fact that he made it through that molt at all made him a very special spider indeed. It's pretty rare. I've never had a MM even try to molt post ultmate, much less actually survive it (even if only for a week). I pamper the heck out of them but they never make it that far.

I'm sure it's a sad day for you but maybe you can take some comfort from knowing that in your short spidering "career" that you've already seen something that most hobbyists won't ever see in years and years of T keeping.

I'm so sorry for your loss!!!!
I've had two males try to moult past ultimate, both were G. rosea, and both didn't make it through the moult.
I have heard of some Ts, I believe it was a male blondi, moulting past ultimate and living for several years after that. (although he did loose his pedipalps in the moult)

Everything has its time. I have 2 MM's that have served their purpose and are starting to look pretty rough. It is hard to watch them go down hill.

etown is right. 'twas a rare event. Three cheers for Gromit! A T with courage.

And I am sorry for your loss too. I just lost a MM, "Orbit". He lived long past expected. It's hard no matter how they go.
