Yesterday, Shy Guy, The Avicularia avicularia MM that Tarangela gifted to me decided it was his time, and died. I'm sorry to say. He was a great little dude, and he will be missed. He was my little buddy.
Tarangela, if you see this I'm sorry. I tried to send you a PM but your box is full.

Sarah was able to pair him twice with her "Bonnie". The first time Bonnie was receptive ~ but molted out of it. The second time she bought dinner, paid the cover charge herself and let him stay til breakfast...

Sarah was totally crushed when he started getting wobbly in his enclosure, and when he could no longer climb; we knew he was nearing the end.
Shy Guy is one of the only tarantulas who are actually buried out back, and he was laid to rest with more than a few tears. Amazing how much these little guys pull out of a person....
Because of him though, Sarah has an abiding love (not just fascination) for tarantulas. He served more than a breeding purpose ~ he was an unlikely friend.

Zoey is getting big and eats like a horse, lol! Thanks for giving her to me, Mina. She's a sweetie and I just love her. We just rehoused her to a large acrylic cube.
Betty is sporting hot pink nails and feeling like the diva that she is, lol. How's Igor after his accident?

Thanks for the hugs, I know you know how much I loved Shy Guy.
He ended up being the first tarantula a lot of my friends ever held - so he made a bigger difference in the world, than just breeding.
