Hi, I was wondering how to tell if a male tarantula is mature and a female tarantula is mature, and ready to breed. (Rose Hair)

Mature males will have hooks (most of them do anyways) on their front legs, and bulbs or boxing gloves as some call them on their pedipalps.

females are a little trickier usually when they reach a certain size is when one assumes they are mature. unless they display certain colors when they mature ie cobalt blues are completely blue when they mature, but only female are blue called dimorphism. for a female rose hair its about the general size, which i don't know for a rose those.

Upon their maturing molt, male G. rosea will develop bulbs on the end of their pedipalps and hooks underneath the tibia of both leg I. Not all species will have the tibial hooks, but G. Rosea do posses them. They will be ready to breed when they have loaded (or reloaded) their bulbs with sperm via sperm web, which happens shortly after their maturing molt.

Females will be mature and ready to breed when their spermathecae are fully sclerotized (fully developed, hardened, and dark; you will need to get a molt for this) and happens when they are nearing adult size (and a lot sooner/smaller than what most people realize). Adult size for G. rosea is around the 5" mark, give or take.
