depends on how much you feed it and the temps it is kept at but if you are impatient... this is the wrong spider for you. they take a looooong time.

u'll have grey hair and be on your way to finding a new hobby when your rosie reaches full size lol.

no but seriously rosies are very slow growers only 3/4" to 1.5" every year lol. they molt every so often urs should be looking towards a molt soon but no guaranties.

Id say your looking at another 3 years for it to be full grown. I got one at 3/4" 2 years ago and its about 3" now. It takes forever for them to grow but if you keep them warmer and feed more often they do grow faster.

warmer and fatter also means dont live as long tho, if u give them a average temp of 78-82 and feed them a couple times a week they will grow at a normal rate, slow and steady, but they will live damn near forever.

edit: unless its a male then ur screwed lmao.

I have a female that I raised from .5 inches or so. Coming up on about 4 years old, she's only 3 inches or so.

It's really just better to think of them as always being that size and not to expect any growth, so then you won't be pulling out your hair waiting for it to molt. I have a 1" rosea sling and he hasn't molted in about 10 months, last time he did molt he barely grew at all.

I purchased several 1st Instar RCF rosea slings about 15 months ago. They've each molted twice, and have only grown from 1/4" to 1/2"-3/4". These things are RIDICULOUSLY SLOW! You're in it for the long haul. It'll be fun to have a long-term tarantula like that, but I would recommend getting a second tarantula of a faster growing species. Then you'll get the best of both worlds.

All Theraphosidae are commonly called tarantula or birdeater. So you have to get more specific when you want to get some information on a certain T.

My advice is to stick to scientific names when buying or trading T's, the common names are often not univocal, mixed up or even just fantasy-names (in certain pet stores...).

L. parahybana (aka Salmon Pink Birdeater) grows like a weed, like Rusty said. Mine went from 3/4" to full grown in a little over two years. Females can max out at the size of a dinner plate! They will literally eat as much as you throw at them, which can be really fun watch. I laugh everytime I see my big boy try to carry four crickets in his fangs at one time. They also stay out in the open all the time. Another bonus... They're cheap! These guys produce between 1500 and 2500 slings per egg sac, so they often come as freebies in other orders. You won't be disappointed with one of these.
