What in the world are you doing with the blood worms in there?

They feed on leafy green vegetables, various fruits, carrots, and pellets of dry dog/cat/ or fish food. Blood worms are very low on thier list of preferred items unless they get desperate and its expensive. In nature they eat leaves from cactus-like plants and fruits.

Though there are people who will post they feed them all sorts of things....

They would eat them out of desperation for lack of anythign else "tastey" being available.

High protein diets for roaches is a myth. A wives tale that is perpetuated on the AB forums and since it is viral now, there is no putting it out. Sadly.

By the way- I have some very nice looking hissers that rarely if ever get any protein at all.

There have been studies done that show cockroaches will consistently select for a proper protein/ carbohydrate ration. I would say it would be best to offer protein sources and vegetable matter and the roaches will eat what they need.

When & if you get nymphs: a friend turned me on to supplementing their diet with Repashy gecko food. After I started adding it to their diet, their growth rate exploded.
