-Hello, where can I find info about the protein needs by species of the most common roaches species keeped in captivity including pest roaches species?
-And what are both: the best high-protein sources for roaches, and the best low-protein sources for roaches?
-Thank you, best regards.

Why not just give them a choice? You know, dogfood plus fruits, vegetables and cereal products? Cockroaches are remarkably good at displaying choice with foods as what little is actually known about their dietary requirements has come from such choice studies and they suggest that they need a diet of almost all carb, a little protein, and next to no fat.

Cockroaches are not like bratty children. They won't just eat cupcakes, give them a choice of foods and they'll self regulate fine.

I give mine cooked hamburger meat (plain) for extra protein in their diet, and they absolutely love it, they are very healthy too! Just make sure to take it out within 6 hours of giving it because it gives off a sour stink very quickly.

I gave mine dog food, with water gel for moisture. And would toss in a sliced apple rougly every week or 2. My discoids thrived pretty well on that method over a few years. Well actually a little two well. I ended up culling most of the population after awhile.
