I am planning to insulate a small enclosure to put my roach tubs in so i can better control the temp (32 cu ft). I am planning to use foam board and use a heat lamp or 2 to get to around 85 degrees. Would anyone have concerns about toxcicity from the heated foam board? I know styrofoam is regularly used to insulate for shipping, but i was worried about exposure to heat on the foam giving out toxic fumes. I am taking precautions against direct heat on the foam, melting and fire. I can put in a control group to see how it goes but don't know if i should be concerned more about short or long term exposure. If i do put in a test group how long should i wait for results? :?
Thanks,

Glen

If you're using a heat lamp, foam sounds like overkill to me.

Since the roaches are not allowed in the house i must keep them in the garage which gets down to 45 degrees in the winter. Since i keep adding colonies i want to have a mini "roach room" so i don't have to have lamps and/or heat pads for each tub.
Thanks
Besides, overkill is my middle name.
