Roaches in odd places

I am sitting in the last class for the day(zoology, ironically). The period has just begun. Then I feel something running on my leg...something big! I look down and a B. dubia nymph is running along my calf. I grab it up and it of course tries to escape and pokes me with its little leg spines. I managed to remove a bagel...take a few bites of it and then put it on my desk, put the roach into the ziploc the bagel was in and deposit it back in the backpack without anyone really noticing(a guy in the back prolly saw it before I did and mentioned it was only a cricket looking thing.). But man that was an interesting experience...trying to talk to the people next to you and at the same time hope they don't wonder why you appear to be holding something in your hand!

I've had an adult B. Giganteus crawl on the back of my shirt and I was walking around the house for quite some time without even knowing it was there! Only when it when on my neck did I realize I had a hitchiker.

I had a juvi hisser hitchhike from Corvallis to Hillsboro, then two months later show up on my back on the bus to class. Of course I had a midterm that day! It was very distracting. Frank is still alive, despite the attempts to swat him by innocent passengers on the bus.

Don't forget the huge "wild" roach you spotted on the way to our quiz -- only to have it escape halfway through into our professor's office . . .

Yes, this was one of mine...as far as I know the school doesn't have any(non pest) roaches. The container fell on the ground one day and a good number escaped. I thought I had rounded them all up. But this one apparently climbed all the way upstairs, went into its owners room, and snuggled into a pair of shorts on the floor intended for the next day.
