-Hello all, I have a serious interest on running some four( or+) large cages for rearing huge lots of Roaches like: "dubia","cinerea", "discoidalis", "lateralis" (or "tartara") and others. The cage options are: 55+ gal trash cans and / or 55+ gal rubbermaid or so boxes (or other large cages you may hint).
-So:
-Which are the best methods for heating these?
-...for ventilating these?
-...for cleaning these?
-...for substrate use in these?
-...for taking roaches from these?(specially in high trash cans)
-...for setting food and taking remains of food from these?
--...for controlling mites, ants and other aliens?
-etc, etc, etc. WELCOME ALL THE HINTS....
-Thank you in advance, best regards !

Lets see here

Well IMO, i would probably not use the trash can if you have the tubs available. The trash can is taller and not as much floor space ... it will be a lot harder to clean and feed and water without haveing to dig to get to the bottom etc...

The tubs (rubbermaid totes) are easy to use. There is a great sticky or two up top here that give a really good example (i would dare say a STANDARD) for using the tubs. Check them out and then if you still have some questions, ill try my best to answer them!

-Hello, thank you for your reply, recently I reviwed the above threads and other similar threads here, and are very informatives.
-The flexwatt is sufficiently capable for done enough heat for the half of the tote? (because of temperature gradient).
-And these plastic material are not fragile for the heat of the flexwatt?
-Also, the heat ever go from down to up, so the ceramic bulb on lids can give enough heat for reach the roaches whos live at bottom level?
-Thank you, regards.
