So I have a sauna in my house that is no longer in use. I was thinking of getting an oil convection heater to keep this 8'x3' room warm. I would have atleast two large feeder bins since the room contains seating that works great as leveled racks.
But my concern is the room is lined with cedar. I know the oils in cedar can cause problems for arthropods such as fleas and mites, would it have an adverse affect on roachs (primarily), or superworms?
The superworms would be in a nearly sealed bin, but the roaches would have some ventilation. The house was built more than 20 years ago (1984) and the room does not smell like cedar anymore, the wood seems quite old. Would any more oils be released by the constant heat (only about 72-74'F), and possible humidity from the containers?
