I keep roaches for mainly practical purposes (feeding), but still enjoy watching them eating, photographing them, etc.

I don't own too many, but here's a few photos. I also keep B. dubia and G. portentosa (the only non-feeders I keep).

N. cinerea (Lobster Roaches)

E. chopordi

B. discoidalis (Discoids}

Gorgeous!! Who would have thought I would use that word for a roach. I have sure developed a liking for these beasties. They're totally facinating!
My husband says I have too many... :eek:

i always peel everything i feed my roaches, and don't really use high surface area to volume ratio things unless they are organic... and even then i have my doubts
the likelihood of some kind of pesticide being present on the skin/peel/outer layer is just too high for me to be comfortable feeding it out. which kind of sucks, as i think there is a lot of interesting nutrients and minerals etc in them.

You know what sucks?

I only have room for `16 colonies...and 2 of those spaces are taken.

I'll be making more room in my bedroom.

Pics of my roaches coming soon :)

Very nice photos especially because of the purple and green backgrounds. I'd like to see more. :)
