Sounds similiar to a case a few years ago in NY (I believe), where a man went held up a Dunkin Donuts with a duck. He went in threatening to hurt the duck unless they gave him the money. He got away with it, but was caught when trying to do it again.

HAHAHAHAHA! I actually read "man went held up a Dunkin Donuts with a duck." and imagined him holding a duck like a gun and pointing it at the clerk until I read the rest. Then it made more sense.

As for the value of life, my religion (All Gods) says that all life is equal and that once you die you have to live the lives of all the things you caused suffering to, so the way I see it, this guy'll get his in the end.

That was pretty funny. I am at work and my 'quota time' is up....When was the auction over?

I've seen that sort of thing before. On one of the reptile boards someone found an add where some moron was threatening to feed a rodent to a snake or something like that and only the right donation would save it's life. Bidding on these things just fans the flames and creates more questionable practices.
