Looks like the globally distributed Pycnoscelus surinamensis. It is parthenogenic, so one can develope into a huge colony. Cage it or mash it, but don't let it run free....
Looks like you are right. I'm in the UK and I think we get both sexes here, I've only ever seen it in our house when he had the carpets up and nextdoor find them every once in a while.
Looks like they usually get introduced via house plants.
