We've been keeping a B lateralis colony as feeders for our tarantulas for the past couple of years. When we've placed orders with a tarantula seller in CA we've always just thrown in some roach chow, and used that as our feeding base alongside fresh fruit and veg. We are out of roach chow and wanted to concoct our own. There's a lot of info out there, but I'd like to make sure we concoct something that will help them breed well and be healthy for our tarantulas.

We are thinking organic corn meal, organic oats and fish food. Are any of these ingredients not recommended? Does anyone have a formulation that they believe is superior? Totally open to ideas, feedback and suggestions.

Thanks!

I use straight pond fish pellets and carrots as a staple for all my roaches. Sometimes they get treats like bananas and stuff but that's about it.

According to what I've found in my research fruits, veggies, and grains work well. Some people have fed cat or dog food and fish food to their roach colonies.

I use a combo of 80% ground dog food and 20% oats, interspersed with fruits and veggies
