If I started a lobster colony about a month ago with 200 individuals, about how long would I need to keep it before I could be able to feed all the critters listed in my profile once per week without running the colony down?

The colony is kept at about 100* and is eating quite well.

pretty soon. you could probably get away with starting to feed out some nymphs ifyou had a decent number of adults to start with

remember, unrestricted colonies grow at healthy exponential rates. the longer you can forbear the better you will be in the long run.

I'm having loads of parasite problems from crix. I just lost a S. polymorpha pling from a nematode infestation and I'm thinking at least one other will follow suit.

I'm thinking I've just gotten a few bad shipments, but I'm not taking the risk anymore. My animals are too valuable to me to risk.

I'm considering ordering another starter culture of lobsters, but I just had work on my car done that will cost me about a grand. :wall:4

My original culture was a mix of adults and nymphs.

just don't feed off female nymphs or adults and you should be fine...

you know how to look at the ventral tergites to determine gender right?
