Credit for the photography of the ones with the red felt background goes to my friend Tom Platt (of twilight-photography.co.uk), rest are my own shots..

Zico has just moulted (20/12/2007) but the shed skin is still a bit too small to sex properly... think all three of the others (Fro, Mex and Pye) are going for a new year moult - all have dark patches on their abdomens and are all refusing food. we'll see.. i think Fro's moult might be sexable this time as he/she is quite a large juvenile now :)

Comments!

body length of the red rump is now approx 3cm... though it's still got to fill out the abdomen with some eating again yet.. i'll leave it a few days then start feeding again, see how she/he fills out and get some photos with a 5p or something to show size :p

i took some photos of the moult with my crappy point and shoot camera but they arent really clear or close enough to sex... will wait for the next moult and get my friend to take shots with his macro lenses, same for the curly hair too.. hopefully will know what sex both are in a few months time :)

no it's not an ornamental.. it's a "suntiger".. both are arboreals (so shape to them)

i've been told by one of my friends that i "must" get a pokie though.. so i guess i'm gonna have to get a P. regalis (indian ornamental) soon...

:)

Hi Guys.. yet Another spider...!

not sure on how healthy he/she is as the previous owner didnt really know *anything* about T's - he was a snake & reptile keeper...

he/she's a 5" B. vagans in premolt.. i've rehoused her and left her to settle in for a few days... he/she was eating (there were quite a few quite fresh looking half eaten crickets in the bottom of his/her terrarium when i picked her up) but i havent tried feeding myself. i'll give it a couple of deys then offer a crick or two and see if they're taken.

i think he/she is a female but i'm not going to handle her until she's settled in..
