My WC Ribbon Snake is refusing food. I dont think it has eaten one time since i have had it (a few weeks).

Normal or Problem?

P.S. - I am feeding grasshoppers, and the internet said they eat slugs so i tried feeding slugs too. But It's not taking it.

or in other words, it probably won't eat in your care, so you should release it so that it can survive the winter

Ribbons eat guppies with relish. Get some guppies and place them in a shallow dish. She's find them and eat.

Ok. I will try to feed it in a day or so. If it still refuses food I will let it go. It looks beautiful with its new skin.

Small treefrogs might do it.

Kind of odd...did you catch it yourself?

I caught a gartersnake from a marsh and had it in a 5 gallon bucket so others could see it. It promptly ate small pacific treefrogs that were found with it.

Yea I got it myself. It wass the only ribbon out out the 20 something garters I caught. Its funny because the local pet store sells them for thirty bucks!

UPDATE:

Just tried feeding it a night crawler. It was watching it like it was about to strike but didnt. Once it struck without opening its mouth. Wrong prey item or what? Im majorly confused.
