I have a question similar to Madeline in the previous thread.

I have a small, tall tank that I'm considering setting up for either a Ribbon or Smooth Green Snake. I searched the forums here for info. and found a little on the Ribbon, but none on the Smooth Green. Anybody keep either that could help me decide?

Thanks for reading. :?

Green Snakes

I've had a few rough green snakes over the years, they're really cool little snakes. Insect eating makes it rather simple for feeding. I've always found they do best in a naturalistic vivarium, where they can hide, hunt, and bask somewhat as they would in the wild. I imagine smooths are very similar in care, but a little less apt to climb, and probably more tolerant of colder temperatures.

You'll have to feed your ribbon snake fish, green snake crickets. Green snakes need arboreal setups, ribbons like to burrow. Both will fling crap when handled initially.

I like green snakes better as pets.

Yeah, I got a green snake for a tall, arboreal tank that I have. No ribbons as of yet.
