A man got bored with his crested gecko and gave it to someone for $10. The problem is it's really skinny. I have also never had a crested gecko and though it is not with me it might as well be under my care (for who took it). The thing I need to know is not temps per say but... what do I feed it? What is a good ratio of foods (I know they're not just insectivores)?

I hate to sound like a person who jumps into something without knowing a thing b/c I'm not. He was practically all but abandoned and I want to know what I can do to help.

People really irritate me sometimes.

I know this is mainly an invert site but there's some really well-informed people here that I could use some help from. These are one of the few lizards that I don't know much about.

You can feed it just crested gecko diet its whole life and it'll be fine. Also keep the temp about 70-80 but usually just keep it in the 70's they can get stressed when it gets over 80.

If he's skinny, feed him some insects as well as the crested gecko diet to help him bulk up.

Give him waxworms and mealworms for the first month. That 'crested gecko diet' is supposed to be complete, but I would rather give him fat until he is a good size. Remember to gut load the insects at least two days before feeding.
