Just to let you all know that the Blattodea Culture Group (BCG), originally formed in 1986, has been revived after a long period of dormancy, and that the first issue of its new colour journal, Cockroach Studies (CS), has recently been printed. CS will be published twice yearly and its aims are to disseminate information about the biology, ecology and taxonomy of cockroaches, as well as to provide practical advice on how to breed these fascinating insects in captivity. The first issue of CS is free and a pdf of it can be downloaded from the following link:- http://www.nhm.ac.uk/research-curation/staff-directory/entomology/beccaloni/assets/CockroachStudiesIssue1.pdf

BCG members will be able to obtain livestock of cockroaches free of charge from the Livestock Coordinator, who has a huge range of different cockroach species in culture. The BCG will also arrange meetings for members to meet, listen to talks, and exchange livestock. This year's meeting is due to be held on Sunday 1st October at the Natural History Museum in London, England.

If you are interested in joining the BCG then please download and complete a membership form (http://www.bcg-online.com/media/BCG Member.pdf) and send it by e-mail to the Membership Secretary, Mr Roland Dussi (roland.dusi@frunol-delicia.de). The annual subscription fees are 20 Euros for European (including British!) members and 30 euros for overseas members. Subscriptions can be paid using PayPal and sent to the following account RolandDusi@aol.com
